JODI COLLINS is a casting director, creative producer, talent manager and creative consultant with over twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is a first time guest at McKinnon Acting Studio. Jodi’s boutique company JLC Entertainment Group, develops talent; hyphenates: actor - writer - creators developing their content for all areas of media. Jodi unearths NEW talent who provides fresh and interesting perspectives discovered in the worlds of alternative talent, musicians, and writers. Network executives and their development departments continue to call upon Jodi to consult for them, scouting new under-the-radar talent. Jodi has been a Comedy Central #1 “go to” casting director at its beginnings and a favorite of WME Entertainment, CAA, & ICM (pre-merger) called upon to unearth & refer under the radar quality talent. Jodi Collins’ casting business is well known for casting a wide and diverse range of digital, television, film, and theatrical projects. Starting her career for Bowling Miscia Casting in 2013, she began as an intern where she worked on "Hostages" (CBS) and "Blue Bloods" Season 3, where she moved up to Casting Assistant during season 4 & 5, becoming an Associate for Season 6 - 10 and Eventually, becoming Casting Director in Season 10. Other bodies of work include Gotham (FOX) Season 1-5, Hightown Season 1 and 3, Pilot casting for "Difficult People'' and 2 seasons of the hit Amazon series "Harlem". She has also worked on several short films which include the Spike Lee produced "Rainbow Ruthie", the IMDb Independent Shorts Award winning "MA", "Killing Evan" and most recently, "S.P.I.C." She most recently worked on NY casting for the new Taylor Sheridan limited series "Special Ops: Lioness" which is now airing on Paramount+.

Registrants will receive a link of film/tv scenes to choose from.
FORMAT:
Registrants will be required to submit a self-tape of a scene prior to the workshop. Our team will show your self tape to the class and right after, the industry guest will give feedback and direction. Actors will get to perform the scene live after receiving notes. A reader will be assigned for all actors. The intensive will start with a Q&A on the business of acting.
